Maple Island's economy is highly based on agriculture, tourism, and a little bit of industry. Maple Island is a very popular vacation destination. People come from all over the world to stay on the beautiful beaches and experience the rich culture. The coastlines are filled with resorts and hotels. When tourists come they have many things that they cam experience. They can swim with dolphins in numerous locations along the coast. In the evenings there are dances for the tourists to come and dance, meet people, and have fun. Even the civilians enjoy coming to these. Tourists have opportunities to zip line, go to the carnivals that are always on the beach, try food at many locations along board walks, and many other things. If you want to just relax, our humid subtropical climate is great for just laying on the beach or sitting in a hammock and reading a book. The agricultural part of our economy is based on citrus fruits, tobacco, cotton, sugar cane, and poultry. Some of the things that farmers in the middle of the island produce are oranges, lemons, grape fruit, peaches, tomatoes, tobacco, cotton, sugar cane, and peanuts. The farmers also raise a lot of turkeys and broilers. Broilers are chickens used for meat. The cotton that is grown helps to make textiles and clothing.

Money
Maple Island's money is called sheets and chips. This would be similar to dollars and coins. 1 sheet is equal to 60 chips.
Chips are shown below.
Sheets are shown below. The sheet colors are all different shades of our official colors, which are also on the flag. The design also comes from the flag.
